Explosive All Stars

Explosive Dazzle is in their 6th season as a special needs cheer team. This team is comprised of athletes ages 5 and above of varying abilities. We accept children of all disabilities and levels of functioning.

The team practices 1x/week for 2 hour sessions running from October-May During practices they work on fine and gross motor, self-esteem, team interactions and language skills through activities aimed at developing a comprehensive cheer routine. The team learns the same routine sections as the competitive cheer teams do: jumps, motions, dance, stunts, pyramid, tumbling. The routine is tailored to the abilities of each individual athlete so that all athletes can participate to the full extent of their abilities.

Each athlete is assigned a ‘buddy’ athlete from within our competitive cheer program to help them learn the routine and improve their skills. Dazzle compete at 6 local competitions and 2 travel competitions during the course of their season.

The Dazzle team is coached by a USASF (United States AllStar Federation) coach as well as a coach with training in the a coach with training in the special needs population.
